Community Heroes youth volunteer team — founded by Tony Murphy

Tony Murphy

Community Heroes was founded by Tony Murphy, a construction professional, business owner and community leader with a passion for helping people and creating opportunities for young people to succeed.

Throughout his career, Tony has worked across a wide range of residential, commercial and refurbishment projects, developing extensive experience in property repairs, maintenance, construction management and site operations.

Having spent years working within the construction industry, Tony recognised two growing challenges within local communities — and created Community Heroes to bring them together into one meaningful solution.

Two Challenges.
One Solution.

After years in the construction industry, Tony identified two problems that Community Heroes was built to solve.

01

Vulnerable Residents Left Behind

Many vulnerable residents were living with repairs and maintenance issues they simply could not afford or manage themselves — affecting their comfort, safety and quality of life.

02

Young People Without Opportunities

Many young people lacked opportunities to gain practical skills, confidence and meaningful work experience — leaving education without a clear path forward.

Community Heroes is about far more than property repairs. Every project completed has a double impact: a vulnerable resident receives support, and a young person gains skills and moves one step closer to a brighter future.

Tony's Vision

Tony's vision is to see Community Heroes become a recognised community programme that develops future tradespeople, future leaders and future role models.

By combining practical property repairs with youth development, Community Heroes aims to create lasting change for individuals, families and communities. Together we can improve homes, build skills, create opportunities and strengthen communities.
