Why We Exist

Too many vulnerable people are living with unresolved repairs that affect their comfort, wellbeing and quality of life. Elderly residents, disabled people, veterans, single parents and families experiencing hardship are often left with repairs they simply cannot afford or physically manage themselves.

At the same time, many young people leave education without practical skills, confidence, or meaningful opportunities to gain real-world experience.

Community Heroes was created to bring these two challenges together. Young people learn by helping others.

Practical Help.

Accessibility Improvements

Practical adaptations to help vulnerable residents live more comfortably and independently in their own homes.

Priority Is Given to Those Who Need It Most

Every application is reviewed individually. Priority is typically given to those where the project will have the greatest positive impact on health, safety and wellbeing.

I never thought I'd enjoy fixing fences and painting walls — but knowing it matters to someone makes all the difference.

A Generation Known for
What They Give Back

Our vision is to create a generation of young people known not for what they take from their communities, but for what they give back. We want to see young people developing practical skills, confidence and purpose — whilst helping vulnerable residents live in safer, better maintained homes.

Together we can improve homes, build skills, create opportunities and strengthen communities. Because every community needs heroes.
